About PTA Maintenance

“We take pride in doing a good job, with honesty and integrity.”

Shooting range specialists since 2003

PTA Maintenance Inc. was established in 2003 as a shooting range maintenance company focused on backstop cleaning, lead mining, lead abatement, demolition and construction. Over the years our clients, police services in particular, kept asking whether we could take on more of the job. Today PTA is a one-stop shop for the whole life of a range: from demolition to lead abatement, we do everything.

That means we can design and build a new range, install the ventilation, target systems and lighting, maintain it for years, and eventually decommission it and remove every bit of contaminated waste.

Owner-operated by Peter Wolf

Owner and operator Peter Wolf brings more than two decades of range experience to every job. He's hands-on, he's on site, and he's happy to answer any question a client has about the process. Most of our work comes from word of mouth, and Peter would rather talk to you directly than send you through a form.

Safety comes first

We enforce strict safety and contamination guidelines on every project. Our crew uses the proper protective equipment at all times, including respirators, boot covers, gloves and Tyvek suits, and we control contamination so lead stays where we can deal with it.

Responsible disposal

PTA Maintenance disposes of all lead and contaminated material in accordance with Environment and Climate Change Canada and provincial requirements. When waste leaves your site, it goes with registered companies that have a track record of environmental responsibility.

We supply and install

We aren't a broker or a third-party supplier. PTA supplies the materials it installs, including Canadian-made granulated rubber, solid rubber blocks, Viva and Re-Viva acoustic and ballistic panels, and ballistic sidewall panels, and our own crew puts them in. See the materials we install.

Where we work

We serve Ontario and all of Canada, with completed projects in Ontario, Alberta and Quebec.

Let's talk about your range

Call Peter to talk it through. Most projects begin with an on-site inspection so we can see the range before recommending anything.
