Lead Mining & Rubber Reclamation
We can remove the lead from your rubber trap better than anyone, with a machine we designed for the job.
How our lead mining works
Over time, a granulated rubber trap fills with spent lead. PTA uses a proprietary, custom-designed machine to separate the lead from the rubber granules. The cleaned rubber goes back into the backstop, and the lead is removed from your range.
Why lead mining instead of replacement
- Keeps your existing rubber in service, so there's less new rubber to buy
- Reduces the amount of contaminated material leaving the site
- Restores the trap's performance and lowers lead loading in the range
Topping up the trap
If the trap needs more rubber after mining, we supply and install all Canadian-made granulated rubber on the same visit.
